MetaMetrics Welcomes Two New Analysts to the Team

MetaMetrics is excited to welcome two new Analysts, Emer and Virti, who have recently joined the team to support the growing demand for data-led insight and modelling.

Both bring solid analytical expertise and a curiosity for understanding the “why” behind the data, making them a perfect fit for the way MetaMetrics works.

Introducing Emer

Emer joins MetaMetrics with valuable in-house experience from a digital agency, where she played a key role in developing a data proposition that covered everything from collection and modelling to client feedback.

In her new role, Emer is focused on the early stages of projects, making sure data is validated, trends are confirmed, and insights are firmly grounded in context before modelling begins. She works closely with key client stakeholders throughout the process and is also developing her expertise in the modelling stages.

Reflecting on her previous role, Emer highlights a standout project for a large retailer where she developed a simulation model mapping customer journey touchpoints. She tested different investment strategies to identify where ROI could be optimised.

“That experience taught me how important early conversations with clients are, understanding what their data looks like, spotting key pain points in their questions, and ensuring those issues are acknowledged, even if not all are immediately answered,” she added.

Emer describes one of her key strengths as thoughtful analysis, which she feels is often overlooked. “I enjoy taking in information, letting my brain whir, and then returning with a more considered response that explores the full impact of decisions. This approach can sometimes shift the direction of a project entirely.”

At MetaMetrics, she’s particularly excited about honing her skills and gaining confidence through consistent, structured feedback cycles. “I’m also eager to broaden my data acumen. It’s easy to get caught up fixing a small cog in a big machine, but with time, I hope to better judge which queries truly affect the end result.”

“Everyone at MetaMetrics is bright and driven, with goals that always align with the clients. That makes it easy to stay motivated, bounce ideas around, offer your two pence, and receive feedback from a place of real knowledge,” Emer explained.

Outside of work, Emer enjoys playing hockey and running. She’s recently started drawing, mostly to create personalised gifts for friends, including a sketch of their favourite local pub.

If you ever spot Emer in a Slack channel, you’ll also notice she rarely says “yes” or “hello”, it’s almost always “oui,” “hola,” or even a bit of Irish sprinkled in.

Introducing Virti

Virti brings a strong foundation in data handling and a passion for econometrics.

In her new role as Analyst, Virti’s main focus is on collecting and processing data, making sure everything is cleaned and prepared before the modelling stage begins. “It’s a really important step, and I enjoy making sure the data is solid before it moves forward,” she said.

Virti holds a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, and Management from the University of Bristol. While studying, she gained hands-on experience as a part-time Data Assistant at Zapmap, where she developed expertise in cleaning and organising large datasets. Before moving to the UK, Virti completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Hons) from Vishwakarma University in India.

Reflecting on her past experience, Virti says her time at Zapmap was invaluable. “Although the datasets were smaller in scale compared to what I’m working with now, I learned a lot about handling messy data and the importance of getting that cleaning step right before any analysis.”

What attracted Virti to MetaMetrics was the company’s straightforward approach and culture of ownership. “I really appreciated how the team keeps things simple without overcomplicating work. There’s a real sense of responsibility over your work, along with the opportunity to grow and learn from it, which made me feel this was the right place to start my career,” she explained.

She’s particularly excited to apply her academic interest in econometrics practically for the first time. “I’ve always been fascinated by econometrics, but I hadn’t had the chance to work with it hands-on until now. I’m really looking forward to building my knowledge and skills.”

One of her key strengths is a natural attention to detail and an enjoyment of spotting errors in data. “I like figuring out how to clean and correct mistakes. It’s something I find really satisfying.”

Looking ahead, Virti is eager to deepen her practical skills in econometric modelling and explore how far she can develop them in her career.

Outside of work, Virti is a devoted fan of Korean dramas. She also enjoys early morning workouts to start the day refreshed and is always up for watching movies across all genres and languages.

With their combined skills, curiosity, and passion for data, Emer and Virti are already making a meaningful impact at MetaMetrics. We look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and contribute to delivering insightful, data-driven solutions for our clients.
